My Approach to Counselling

In my counselling sessions, I aim to create a space where you feel genuinely safe, heard, and respected. I believe that meaningful change happens in an environment built on trust and compassion, so my priority is to ensure that you can explore your experiences without judgement or pressure.

As a client, you can expect our sessions to be calm, reflective, and paced according to your own comfort. I listen deeply to understand your perspective and work with you collaboratively, rather than directing or pushing. This means you set the pace, and I support you in untangling thoughts and feelings, helping you to gain clarity and insight.

I like to tailor my approach to each individual, drawing from different therapeutic methods to meet your needs. Some sessions might focus on gentle reflection and understanding patterns, while others may involve practical tools to support coping and resilience.

My clients have said that:
‘It feels like having a space to be able to breath, and speak freely’.
‘it’s the first time I felt able to talk openly, for the first time in years’.
‘It feels like visiting a ‘man cave’ and having a chat’

Over time, clients often describe feeling lighter, more self-aware, and more empowered to navigate life’s challenges with confidence.
