There’s something I have been thinking about for the last couple of weeks. There are times in our lives when you know exactly what you want to say, but the right moment just fails to appear, leaving you feeling frustrated and sometimes feeling so alone. Other times, you have exactly the opportunity that you need, and then panic sets in as the words you had disappear like smoke into thin air.
It’s like trying to thread a needle in a speeding car. The two just never seem to line up, so you just stay quiet instead! It feels like in the movies when someone is trying to shout behind some soundproof glass.
Now, imagine a place where that glass doesn’t exist. A place where you can say exactly what’s on your mind…and be heard. Sometimes, that is all that’s needed. To be free of that empty feeling inside, or those feelings of frustration, anger, disappointment…and sometimes those feelings that you just don’t have words for.
In that space, your voice carries without effort, and your thoughts flow like a river finally breaking its dam. You find that the silence which once weighed upon you transforms into connection, understanding, and even comfort. The fear of missed moments ebbs away, replaced by the calm of being truly seen and known.
Perhaps that place is not a physical room at all, but a moment of courage, a friend who listens, or simply the decision to trust your own voice. Once you discover it, you’ll realise that the glass was never as thick as you feared, and that speaking your truth is the first step to feeling whole again.
Best wishes 👍
